This week has been the coldest of the season, as reflected in this color palette. Yesterday I was thinking about how, with music more so than any other expressive medium, I operate in bursts of creative productivity followed by bouts of relative silence. In late October/early November, I was cranking out things almost daily, and put together an EP of stuff that really resonated with me and felt progressive and true in about a week. In the last few days, some of that spark has returned and I tapped back into whatever source it all comes from. This is all relevant because uniting characteristic with all of this musical material is a particular feeling I get when I hear it, writing style, and the colors I see in the music; slate grays and deep blues, washed blacks and faded whites. I guess what I’m making and listening to sounds like what you’re looking at.
