In the weeks since my last dispatch, with everything happening in my head, my life, home, and abroad, I keep coming back to this simple fact, to help me place things in perspective: right now, in Q4 of 2023, a single McDonald’s hash brown costs $3.39 plus tax, and the roads and infrastructure needed to get to the hash brown are likely crumbling. Whether or not you eat McDonald's, this is cause for alarm, and, mostly, a reminder that we have to do what we can with what we have in front of us. As Hov would say, “finish your breakfast”.
