Cosmic latte is the average color of the universe, found by a team of astronomers from Johns Hopkins University (JHU). In 2002, Karl Glazebrook and Ivan Baldry . . . reported that their survey of the light from over 200,000 galaxies averaged to a slightly beigeish white.

In addition to black, my favorite color has long been this off-white, beige color that I’ve recently come to know as Cosmic Latte. Not that I think * my * favorite colors are objectively the best colors universally, but, if the universe averages out to a beige color against the infinite black backdrop of space, and we are all made up of the same atoms as the universe, I think there is, on a tiny subatomic level and/or an unfathomably large universal level, a case to be made that this beige color and black are the most… something of all colors. Universe’s words, not mine.
