At some point, a long time ago, I was told it actually uses more gas to turn your car on and off than it does to keep it running, and, if you’re low on gas, to leave the engine running. I’ve never been in a dire gasoline situation and needed to road-test this maxim, but I think it’s applicable to life generally: it is harder to stop and begin again than it is to simply continue. So, when I missed a weekend of Frames, kind of because I just felt like it, it was easy to miss the next weekend when I had covid, and then the next weekend when I rode my bike 80 miles to Cape Cod and returned just in time for Boiler Room.

I do enjoy putting these together, even if they’re done less deliberately and more stream-of-consciously as I am typing and sending. So I am re-committing, both to my reflection in my dusty, dimly-lit MacBook screen, and also to you, valued, invisible Subscriber, to get up to speed with the Frames I owe.
